Steve Cox and I battled rain and mist all day - a surprising number of Meadow Pipits moving east through this - 595 between 0725 - 0930; also 25 Goldfinches, 6 Swallows and 54 Alba Wagtials east in the same period.

Otherwise: a Lapland Bunting seen flying over the copse, then over East Soar Farm and then flushed from the grassy field east of the farm; 1 Merlin; 80+ Skylarks; 6 Song Thrushes; 1 Reed Warbler; 13 Goldcrests; 10 Blackcaps; 1 Whichat; and 4 Wheatears.
