Garden & River watch

Have just re-positioned my bird feeders due to alterations in my garden. Was rewarded yesterday with a handful of Long Tailed Tits, a Coal Tit and a male Blackcap. Late afternoon walk along Pottington side of Tarka trail produced good numbers of Redshank, Lapwing, Oystercatchers. Some Black Tailed Godwits very close to the trail down on the mud. A single Kingfisher and a solitary Little Egret, Cormorant and Shelduck. A Large flock of Canada Geese in the fields next to the A361. Poor visibility made up for by the large and easy views of the birds.
