Matford Marsh

A cold start to the day here and very glad to have seen the American Wigeon (a lifer for me) showing well on the main pool amongst the Wigeon. There was a flock of 14 Redwing in trees near to the viewing platform, two Chiffchaff close by and a Kingfisher briefly in the hedge to the side of the path leading up towards Makro. Once at the bend in path by Makro, a Merlin flew quite low across the water heading towards the main pool.
