Matford & Topsham

Matford to start the day gave the American Wigeon which took a lot of finding given the depth of the grass pasture that the Wigeon flock was feeding in, three Little Egret, a Chiffchaff, Song Thrush, Greater Spotted Woodpecker, at least twelve Moorhen and a small number of Long Tailed Tits.

Topsham Rec ~ on arrival saw a birder photographing the reported Yellow Browed Warbler which continued to show well in the trees around the children’s play area, a Kestrel, Kingfisher and female Long Tailed duck all close by.


Goosemoor ~ Spotted Redshank tucked away with small number of Greenshank a Goldcrest near the bridge.
