Wembury

Showers this afternoon, with occasional spells of good light. Down on the shoreline were 2 Little Egrets, 25+ Oystercatchers, 3 Turnstone and a Common Sandpiper On the pipe. Among the rotting seaweed, Meadow Pipits, good numbers of Rock Pipits and several Pied Wagtails. Flitting between the bushes and the shore was a Black Redstart with a metal leg ring. Returning up the slope to Wembury Point car park was a Buzzard, and a female Kestrel hunting over the fields.
