Bowling Green Marsh

Very quick visit to the hide today. Good numbers of Wigeon and Shoveler again and at least 1 male Pintail.

The female Pochard with the green 'ring' on its bill that has been reported before is still there. It seems to be annoyed by it and seemed to be trying to wash it off in the water. There are 2 digits on the ring but it was impossible to read with the bird shaking its head and I gave up when it started diving. It would be interesting to know where this bird was ringed so perhaps if someone gets better views they will be able to read it.

2 Avocets were on Goosemoor with the usual 2 Bar-headed Geese in with the Canadas.
