Prawle Seawatch , Slapton Ley and Beesands

My first seawatch of the year from the car park in strong (4/5-6) SW winds with heavy rain 'showers' from 9.05 till 11.30 : (all west) 2 Balearic Shearwaters, 1 Bonxie, 2 Black Throated Divers, 262 Auks (80% Razorbills/20% Guillemots);181 Gannets;54 Kittiwakes;68 Black-Headed Gulls. Also min. 4 Bottle-Nosed Dolphins close into shore fishing in the surf plus a Grey Seal joining in on the fun.

At Slapton 2 Black-Necked Grebes from Torcross hide with good number of various duck species. Brief visit to Beesands Ley : 6 Mallard and 4 Moorhens and,c 70 BH Gulls (why no other duck species as Perry mentioned previously ?)
