toll rd. to Crow Point

just incredible views of Kingfisher successfully fishing in the small drainage channels. Driving slowly on the toll road, we watched a Kingfisher using fence posts to fish from successfully. Got hold of two fish clubbing them on the same posts before they disappeared!

on this short drive we also saw:

-large mixed flocks of fieldfare and redwing

-egrets, heron, masses of moorhen

-lapwing and curlew and redshank

Once at crow point, large flocks of wigeon and brent geese were the highlight. Grey plover, long tailed tits, goldfinch, stonechat amongst others.
