Marsh Mills and Blaxton Meadow, River Plym

Had a look for the reported Jack snipe this morning but with no luck, no snipe either but it was high tide.

Highlights were 10 little egrets, male and 2 female wigeon, 7 red breasted mergansers (1 male), a common sandpiper, 31 curlew, 1 redshank, 10 shelduck, a pair of siskins and c.6 little grebe.

Surprise was a roe deer running through the vegetation on the small piece of land on the opposite side to the riverside path bounded by the river and the railway line.
