Exmouth

Orcombe Point - 0820 - 0910 - good numbers of birds and obvious cold weather movement. A walk around the top fields produced 1 meadow pipit, c50+ skylark, 40+ golden plover, 1 snipe, 2 lapwing, 1 jack snipe, 15 linnet, c40+ chaffinch and 1 fieldfare. Frozen ground this morning and colder than yesterday.

19/1 - 9 snipe, 3+ fieldfare, 45+ redwing, 1 meadow pipit and 50+ golden plover. Also 1 woodcock flushed from hedgerow along top fields - my first record for Orcombe Point.

12/1 - Exmouth Seafront - 1 black-throated diver.
