Bowling green marsh

Watched from 09:45 till 13:15

a very good morning with the finding of a Curlew sandpiper in with the dunlin whilst trying to count them and at times it showed very well in front of the hide down to 30ft not something you expect to find in January, 500+ dunlin, 275+ bar tailed godwits, 25+ grey plover, good numbers of avocet and wigeon , 7 pintail(4m,3f), 1f pochard, 40+ redwing, mistle thrush.

Exminster marsh 14:00 till 16:00

1 female merlin from the canal bank, 1 male Merlin sat on fence below motorway bridge, ruff in with lapwing , 120+ golden plover, male goldeneye on lagoon with18+ gadwall, 7+ pochard, 5 tufted duck and little grebe, a fox on the bank around the lagoon , buzzard, good numbers of wigeon over the marsh, 50+ shoveler and 2 pintail, 8 grey plover.
