Exminster Marshes

A lunchtime visit from about 1.10 to 1.45.

A Bittern was in the reeds in the channel to the left of the track just before the 'S' bends. Kindly shown to me by a couple of birders, I watched it for a couple of minutes skulking in the reeds before it disappeared from view.

Not much time to look at the many birds on the marsh, although there was a Ruff and a few Golden Plovers with the Lapwing flock.
