Exe Estuary cruise

The first Stuart Line birdwatching cruise of the year was greeted by fog, although it did clear as rain moved in. That said, some good birds were seen, with 13+ G C Grebes, Slavonian Grebe (Cockwood), c25 Shags, female-type Long-tailed Duck (Topsham-Turf), 4 Greenshank, very good numbers of Avocets and Black-tailed Godwits (approx 500 and 1000, respectively), c50 Golden Plover, adult Med Gull (Pole Sands) and a Guillemot (swimming along Exmouth beach).
