Slapton Ley and Beesands

The Ring-necked Duck still, a Scaup in Ireland Bay, the Marsh Harrier out hunting, Cettis singing and Water Rail squealing.  Off the Monument 40+ Scoter.  Missed  a Firecrest by minutes!  At Beesands [mid afternoon] a feeding frenzy was taking place with 150+ Gannets, 150+ Razorbills, 80+ Guillemots and many Kittiwakes covering a small area. A very conservative count as so many were under water at any one time!  Many of the auks were just offshore in the end.  Quite a spectacle.
