Berry Head

The morning started very slowly with no noticeable migrants - just breeding birds now. A quick scan of the sea found 3 Harbour Porpoise close, almost under the headland, then a large fast moving pod of Dolphins further out - Common Dolphin. After about 1hr I believe there were approx. 800 animals in the superpod, some gradually moving south. During the watch the following seabirds were noted: 1 Great Skua, 1 Arctic Skua, 2 Sandwich Tern, 3 Common Scoter and 3 Great Northern Divers (2 ad Sum plum, 1 presumed 1st summer) sat in Torbay.
