Wrafton

A drake Tufted Duck on the pond this morning was a surprise.

In the reserve a singing Whitethroat is the first for a few years. The 2 remaining juvenile Little Grebes seem to be growing apace, presumably being looked after by the male, while the female is off sitting on some new eggs. Do they start a new brood before fledging the first lot?

Also saw a Tawny Owl, a Grey Heron and a very juv Song Thrush.
