Cadover Bridge, Wigford Down, Dewerstone Wood 20th May

Additional to the posts from Roger Smaldon and Greg Bradbury today.  I took a 'socially distant' walk with Bob Barrow in the same area with similar outcomes. However at Cadover we had good views of a calling Cuckoo, Whitethroats, a Garden Warbler and a Beautiful Demoiselle.  On Wigford Down a Green Woodpecker and a pair of Stonechats feeding at least four fledglings.  In the wood we heard but never saw any Redstart, but a pair of Pied Flycatchers, a Treecreeper and five Fallow Deer. Back at the car park about 2:00pm a medium size bat sp. circled the car park several times!
