Broadsands

The Yellow-browed Warbler showed briefly from dense cover at least 3 times during the course of the day in the usual corner of the car park. Seemed to be heard rather than seen most of the time. Curiously I heard a second one towards the Alders at c.09:00 replying to the 1st bird, but never saw anything of it!  At least 3-4 collbyta Chiffchaffs and a m & f Blackcap in the same area. (A Firecrest was also reported by another birder).

10 Cirl Buntings (2m, 8f) coming to the seed at the back of second car park, along with a Reed Bunting and an assortment of Chaffinches and Greenfinches.

On the sea: 2 Black-necked Grebes, 2-3 Gt N Divers & 1 Common Scoter ( adult drake).
