Garganey at Slapton

After visiting South Huish Marsh on the hunt for Garganey, we were informed that there were some at Slapton/Strete Gate, so off we went. We located a snoozing pair on the pond at Strete Gate, and managed a couple of record shots from between the reeds. Other birds of note were 1 singing male blackcap, approx 20 sandmartins, 4 little gebes and a peacock butterfly
