South Huish Marsh - Wheatears
At least 2 bright Wheatears showing well on the rocks and beach behind the flats at South Huish Marsh this afternoon ( Thanks to Pete Aley and Mike Concannon for the heads up). Also present, a female Black Redstart, many Rock Pipits and numerous Pied Wagtails inc at least one white. On the Marsh itself, one Water Pipit, but no sign whilst I was there of the White Fronted Geese or the Egyptian Goose reported yesterday. Earlier at South Milton Ley, many of the Chiffchaffs were singing, as I watched a pair of Goldcrest. 3 species of butterfly seen on the wing, including a Comma.
