Soussons/Warren House

A nice walk late morning found an active Great grey shrike on the slopes between the Warren House Inn and Soussons. In the plantation itself we encountered a group of c30 crossbills. We then took a walk up onto the hill top towards Birch Tor and to our surprise flushed a Woodcock which we had hoped for lower down in the valley but hadn't expected so high up into the moorland
