At Mudbank Lane late this morning over the high tide was a Great Northern Diver which was very close in to the railway line. Later on it had moved down adjacent to the large carpark at the back of the station. Also at Mudbank a Slavonian Grebe close in and a first-winter Little Gull which performed very well for a while. One female Goldeneye was out in the estuary and a Whimbrel flew by close in. The usual adult Mediterranean Gull was also present. Another Great Northern Diver was over the other side of the estuary near Starcross.
