Start Point

06:15-11:30. Cloudy, moderate SSE wind strengthening through morning.

Spent an hour on the cliff top north of the car park waiting for the vis mig which never started. There were a few Goldcrest calling however and a look around the farm showed them to be in good nos here, conservative estimate of at least 60 ( min 70 in area ) with at least 2 Firecrest. Also a late Lesser Whitethroat and 4 Chiffchaffs. Walked down to the light to see if any crests were working their way up the ridge but there were none. Tamarisks blown out in the compound but could hear a handful of Goldcrest and a Chiffchaff. Did an hours seawatch, around 500 Gannets and 200 Kittiwakes through. Also 4 Balearic Shearwaters, 2 Teal and 6 Mediterranean Gulls including a tight flock of 3 adults and 2 first calender year birds close in heading south. Checked the farm again on the way out and would say 50% of the Goldcrest had moved on.
