Redwings ~ South Brent

Over the last two days the movement of migrating Redwings seems to have slowed down around South Brent and the birds being seen now are feeding.

A mixed small flock of Redwing and a few Song Thrush seen this morning perched in the canopy of a mature Ash tree, the odd Mistle Thrush and one possible Feildfare in the air.

A counted flock of 50 Redwings just before 9 am came over and all of the roosting birds lifted and were caught up in the low flying flock.

A counted 23 Redwings late this afternoon.

Great Spotted Woodpecker, Buzzard, Coal Tits and a Nuthatch on the garden feeders, small number of Pied Wagtails still moving around the area.
