East Soar Update

My day got off to a not very great start when I got to the carpark to find I had no binoculars!  So I wasn't too hopeful of finding too much in the scrub with a x32 'scope.  In the field next to the water tank was a single Whinchat alongside about 100 Meadow Pipits.  At the head of Starehole Valley a female Redstart showed well as did a Chiffchaff and five Kestrels in the air together.  Back at East Soar, in the willows, a Goldcrest, another Chiffchaff and two Firecrests.  It's really difficult 'scoping a Firecrest in scrub from 25 yards away.
