Slapton

Visit to Slapton between 13.00 and 16.00 resulted in views of adult Hobby over reeds at west end of the lower ley.  2 Red-crested Pochards showing well from the car park hide and 4 Black Swans.  100+ mixed flock of House Martins/Sand Martins/Swallows over lower ley.   On the seaward side: flock of 18 Sandwich Terns flying West close to shore and feeding well.  3 Wheatears (one of which was the Greenland Race (leucorhoa)). 4 Rock Pipits and 16 Pied Wagtails and 3 White alba Wagtails.
