Black-tailed Godwit 1; Lapwing c250; Redshank c50; Dunlin 8; Grey Plover 1; Little Egret 6 and Kingfisher 1.

At 10:05 c3000 Golden Plover made an appearance and began to land on their usual sandbanks just off Penhill Marsh but were very skittish and after about 15 minutes decided to fly off down river towards Chivenor.

19 Redwing were feeding on the berry bushes in the scrub area between the Green Sandpiper ditch and the sewage works plus 4 Song Thrush and numerous Blackbirds. A flock of c30 Meadow Pipits were flipping about the sandpiper ditch and Crows were mobbing a Buzzard in the same area, putting up just 1 Snipe with all the racket. A small flock of 7 Long-tailed Tits were in the bushes alongside the Tarka Trail.

C40 Teal and c20 Mallard were in Bradiford Reserve.
