Thurlestone Bay
Close inshore this morning a Great Northern Diver ( first of the winter ) At 09.30 flew east. Whilst watching the diver a Black Redstart flew onto the car park fence. A few Gannet and 14 Kittiwake flew east.
On South Huish Marsh -1 db Brent Goose, 2 Wigeon, 2 Snipe 1 Dunlin 40 Teal, 1ad Yellow-legged Gull.
At 12.30 rec'd a call from Mike Miller to say he had seen 4 Grey Geese fly onto the back of the Marsh. Drove straight over to find 4 Greenland White-fronted Goose feeding - flew inland at 13.35 when they were found in a field on the road leading to the sewage works at S M Ley. Later reported back on the Marsh . First record for some years and a first for the month of October
