Squacco Heron Prawle

Surprised that there has been no mention of the Squacco Heron at Prawle on this blog as yet : a first for this site I believe. First reported on Birdguides on Saturday 9th, I was only able to get down to see it (after a tense hour watching at Maelcombe Beach) yesterday when I saw it between 3 and 4.30pm on rocks east of Langerstone Point ( thanks to 2 women birders who had arrived from Norfolk and were heading for Wales !) Feeding well and in beautiful breeding plumage (poor thing) Also my first Spotted Flycatcher of the year at Bunkers.
