Orcombe Point - 1700 - a half hour sprint around the top fields before dark was worth the effort with a male ring ouzel in the dung field plus at least one redwing and a couple song thrushes. This is only my fourth autumn record for Orcombe and I've had just 3 spring birds.

Yesterday - Mudbank - late pm - high count of 117+ turnstone with 38 redshank and 2 greenshank.

Orcombe - 23/10 - 14+ redwing, 11+ song thrush, 1 golden plover, 2w mediterranean gull, 1 mistle thrush, 1+ fieldfare, 1 black redstart, c20+ blackbird, c30+ robin and 1 brambling on a quick pre-work visit. Also c500/1000+ (I'm really bad estimating flock sizes) starling in 1 flock heading north.
