Thurlestone Bay

 This am  AJL had 6 Brent Goose -pale bellied fly across the Bay - at 16.45 Bob B and I had 7 Dark bellied fly in off the sea and eventually up the valley. ( whist at Slapton at 12.00 I had 7 Dark bellied in off the sea flew around and then back out - almost certainly the same group)

Amongst a flock of 300 + Black H Gull on South Huish Marsh were 8 Med Gull ( 4ad, 2 sub ad & 2 1st w )

also an ad & 1stw Common Gull .On the marsh 3 Dunlin 2 Snipe 35 Teal.and a Wheatear.

On T'stone Marsh- 3 Shoveler ( 2f & 1 m )  2 Wigeon  3 Teal. The sight of the day was the first big murmation of Starling - they started to fly into the stubble field at 17.15- by the time they went to roost in the reeds at 17.45  there was a min of 100,000- what a sight
