Bull Point, west of Ilfracombe

This evening while watching migrating hirundines heading east along the coast into the headwind (mostly Swallows – 120+ in about 30 mins, with around 12 House Martins and a single Sand Martin), Tim Davis had good but brief views of a Red-rumped Swallow at approximately 18.45 hrs. It continued east with the other hirundines, all of which were clearly intent on moving through at speed; none doubled-back to feed. (Translation: I missed it! Failed to lock on to the right swallow before that particular group whipped around the corner never to be seen again.)
