Maidencombe, Torquay
At 11.20 a vocal and obliging Lesser Whitethroat in the trees next to the Beach Car Park. No sign or sound at 15.30 though. Chiffchaff, 5 Song Thrushes (one using an anvil to dispatch snails - a sight sadly more common in the past), Kestrel, male and female Blackcap, Green Woodpecker, Jay, 2 Ravens, 4 Linnets, 20+ Swallows overhead, all heading north in the direction of Shaldon and beyond. Also - Robins seemed to be everywhere. Gannet, Fulmar and Shag from the SWC Path and beach itself.
