Prawle Point

During a 2 hour seawatch ( in ENE verring SE wind , force 2 ) with JL ,from 7.30am , we saw 47 Manx Shearwaters west and 12 east; a single Sandwich Tern flying  west oddly enough ; a summer-plumaged Great Northern Diver east and 5 Common Scoter west. Steady passage of almost a 1000 auks west (Razorbills to Guillemots 5 to 1 ratio) and about 130 Gannets mainly west. Also 5 Wheatears (3 males) and 3 Swallows. So it starts.
