Dawlish Warren & Exe Estuary

Arriving at Dawlish Warren this afternoon too late for the Bonaparte's Gull on the beach (it has moved off north and couldn't be relocated), I had to be content with 3 Eiders (2 ad drakes) and c70 Common Scoters offshore.

Inside the estuary, off Cockwood and Powderham, late afternoon: Slavonian Grebe, 3 Little Grebes, 12 Mergansers, 2 ad Med Gulls, 2 Sandwich Terns, 6 Greenshank and Spotted Reshank. The last was just north of the Kenn outlet and is presumably last winter's bird that frequented the same area.
