Bowling Green Marsh

There were three Water Rails to the left of the track to the viewing platform this morning. From the platform, the Spotted Redshank was showing well with a Greenshank.

From the hide, 2 Gadwall, 4 Pintail, c12 Shoveler, half a dozen each of Tufted and Pochard and a couple of Avocets (a few were also seen towards Turf viewed from the Goat Walk, but numbers are well down from over 200 last weekend).

Good numbers of Wigeon, Teal, Black-tailed Godwits and Redshanks were using Goosemoor, plus 1 Greenshank; 1 Kingfisher along the river.
