Tamar estuary / Ernesettle

Cold but bright on the Tamar This afternoon. On a rising tide:

48 Teal, 40+ Oystercatcher, 17 Shelduck, good numbers of gulls, but the highlight was 5 Spoonbill, 'spooning' their way up and down the shallows, including one with coloured leg rings, they eventually flew over to Kingsmill lake at 1550.

Ernesettle creek: plenty of Redshank, 5 Greenshank, 14 Snipe, 2 Common gull and 1 Kingfisher on his regular perch.
