Peregrine flew over and dispersing everything on the marsh.
As i chatted with Dave Stone Turf side of the viewing platform a male Merlin flew past close-in along the cycle path hedgerow heading northwards towards lock keepers house/Topsham rec at 1140hrs. A Grey Wagtail was showing well along the new cycle path with 4 Meadow Pipits and 5 Stonechat in support. The Snow Bunting was again on show a bit further north of the cycle path bridge. Group of 17 Pintail was on the farside of the water channel with 4 Grey Plover and c30 Dunlin close-by. Red Breasted Merganser was near the Turf lock gates as was a Kingfisher. Back towards Exminster marsh 8 Tufted Ducks on the lagoon with c300 Golden Plover in fields with numerous Wigeon and Lapwing and another c10 Pintail. Keith Birchall  re-found the male Merlin sitting on the fence-post north of the marsh which flew up onto electric pole and took distant digiscoped photos. Water Rail could be heard around the pool near railway bridge and a Kestrel was hovering over the field before dropping onto the overhead cables near Swans Nest pub car-park.
