Darts farm ~ Penduline Tits

Early afternoon it was standing room only at Darts Farm where three Penduline Tits were showing really well as they demolished Bullrush heads in front of a growing gathering of birders. Despite being at really close quarters the birds drab plumage could at times make them very difficult to spot, but the bullrush heads being ripped apart soon gave them away.

Listening to the general chat the birds had been showing for most of the day from around 9.30am with only one very short period of absence.

Also showing well in the same area were a number of Chiffchaff and a pair of  Stonechats.
