Velator & Caen Estuary

13:45 -15:15 On a dank showery afternoon a walk along the estuary footpath on a making tide produced 1 x Common Sandpiper, 2 x Little Grebe, 2 x Kingfisher, 2 x Buzzards, 4 Shelduck, 5+ Curlew, 60+ Redshank, and in the distance in between Chivenor and Fremington Key were the two large flocks of roughly 1500+ Lapwing and 2-3000+ Golden Plover murmerating before landing.... a very impressive site on a grey and drizzly afternoon.
