Lower Tamar Lake

Work in progress as contractors improve the area in front of and around the hide on the Lower Lake this morning - increasing the size of the pools and creating flatter tops to the islands.   The rangers also clearing some of the vegetation that interferes with views of the lake from the hide

35+ Snipe flushed as their equipment went into the area.   The wildfowl retreated to the far end of the lake, but 30+ Goosander present, plus 19 Mallard and 7 Teal.   The usual tits, 2 Nuthatches and 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker on the feeders seeming unconcerned about the nearby work.
