Plym Estuary & Saltram

A Yellow-browed Warbler calling and showing on and off was a good end to 2014 (found in bushes where the cycle track from Laira Bridge joins the route to the city centre, just on the east side of the road bridge and there until at least 3.30pm). Earlier, a party of 6 Goosanders were on the narrow river (near Sainsbury's) before flying off - 2 drakes and 4 redheads.

The waders roosting on the wall were very distant and difficult to count but looked like just c80 Redshanks but a good (by Plym standards) tally of c35 Dunlins; and 3 Greenshanks with them.

Also - Oystercatcher 6, Curlew 60, Common Sandpiper, Little Grebe 2, and Kingfisher .
