BGM and Countess Weir

Went over to BGM this morning. It was hazy sunshine and almost high tide. Species noted were Teal, Widgeon, Lapwings, Redshanks, Mallard, a lone Canada Goose, Blackbirds, Starling, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Chaffinch, Greenfinches, Jay, Crow, Magpie, Wood Pigeon and Gulls. In the very far distance by the Viewing Platform were some Avocets and a few Oystercatchers.

We moved on to Topsham Quay and had Pied Wagtail, BH Gulls, Robins and a pair of very large Brown Rats.

Stopped in near the Sewage Works at Countess weir on the way back to Plymouth and noted about 50 Cormorant perching on the Pylon Cables, Lined up as one would expect to see Starlings. I have never seen this in Cormorants before. Perhaps they were charging thier batteries.
