Bowling Green Marsh

Viewed over the morning high-tide 1045-1230hrs.

From the hide very foggy/misty views on arrival and unable to see anything but cleared later to show c450 Avocets + c150 Bar Tailed Godwits + c500 Black Tailed Godwits + c1000 Dunlin + c80 Redshank + c25 Curlew + c10 Snipe + c30 Lapwing + 5 Pintail + 2 Gadwall + 1 Tufted Duck + 1 Pochard + c60 Shoveler + c300 Wigeon + c200 Teal + c20 Meadow Pipit.

From the viewing platform great views of a Water Rail along hedgerow in left field just inside entrance gates + 2 Spotted Redshank + 4 Grey Plover + Common Gull + 2 Snipe + c50 Lapwing also large number of Brent Geese flying over from Darts Farm.

From the goatwalk c20 Golden Plover + c15 Grey Plover across the water on turf side + 6 Red Breasted Mergansers in river channel and large numbers of Dunlin everywhere.
