South Efford & South Huish Marsh

32 Bird species identified on South Efford Marsh this morning, not the density of birds as there were last week, but Kingfishers showed well with two individuals and one pair being seen (possibly the two individuals coming together), Greenshank, Redshank, Snipe, Common Sandpiper, Wigeon numbers on the increase to seven, male Sparrowhawk being mobbed by Corvids on leaving.

The Ruddy Shellduck showed all be it a bit distant while feeding with the large numbers of Canadian Geese at South Huish Marsh, all the usual species including a single Lapwing but as at South Efford Marsh not the recent densities of the smaller species.
