Berry Head

Seawatching totals (07:30-14:00), another amazing November seawatch with the majority of birds moving south out of Lyme Bay from 10:00 when I arrived and heavy rain started to clear. 2 Long-taileSkuas (both juvs 10:50 & 11:14), 67 Pomarine Skuas (mostly juvs), 6 Arctic Skuas, 4 Bonxies, 2 Puffins, Little Auk (11:45), 2 Little Gulls (ad & 1w), 3 Balearic Shearwaters, 4 Manx Shearwaters, 3 Great Northern Divers, numerous but no count on auks (mostly Razorbills), Gannets and Kittiwakes. Perhaps the best bird was a Short-eared Owl at 13:23 heading south then circled up high on approaching the headland.
