Chivenor Airfield and River Caen

Golden Plover comfirmed. During a remarkable warm morning walk well over 1000+ Golden Plover were disturbed by the RAF Sea King helicopter from Chivenor and produced a great aerial display before settling back down again on the airfield. Also seen 3 Common Sandpiper, 3 kingfisher, 2 dipper, 10+ Skylark, 20+ Greenfinch, 15+ Goldfinch, 20+ Meadow pipits. 50+ Starling. 15+ Redwing.

3 Red Admiral and numerous Common Darter Dragonfly taking advantage of a very warm morning topping 21C by 14:00, not bad for the last day of October!
