Slapton Ley

Early morning at the bridge - some overhead migration, all going south : lots of finches mainly Greenfinch (200+) and Goldfinch (250+) also 10 House Martin, 1 Swallow and small groups of Skylark, Meadow Pipits and Wood Pigeons. A Yellow-browed Warbler in the willows below the bridge with a tit flock showed itself well and called a few times, what a good autumn for this species! A Firecrest in the hedge nearby. Also 2 Blackcap, 2 Grey Wagtail, 4 Chiff-Chaff, 4 Goldcrest and a 1W Med Gull at Torcross. Lots of unidentified skuas on the horizon heading towards Start Point!
