A very quiet start (I didn't see a single bird between the car park and Mid soar at dawn!) and nowhere near the vis mig Perry has reported at Start. However things picked up a bit later with c800 Wood Pigeons and c15 Stock Doves west and another c100 Wood Pigeons and c15 Stock Doves south-east.

c25 Goldfinches and c15 alba Wagtails overhead but they didn't seem to be going in any firm direction.

A Yellow-browed Warbler in the clump of sallows beside the main path in Starehole. Also a Merlin, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, just single Blackcap and Chiffchaff, 2 Grey Wagtails, 4 Song Thrushes, and 2 Goldcrests.

At the top of Starehole, a bright ginger Dunnock, the likes of which I've never seen before!

Nothing of note at South Huish on the way home.
