Bowling green marsh

watched from 07:30 till 12:30

A small fall this morning was evident on the walk down to the hide with a group of 10+ goldcrests in with a group of 25+ long tailed tits and a couple of chiffchaffs, with skylarks and meadow pipits moving overhead, the pair of stonechats showed well.

the hide from 07:40 till 09:00 

3+ ruff, 12+ dunlin, 2 spotted redshank, 15+ knot, 30+ bar tailed godwits, in with good numbers of black tailed godwits, curlew and redshanks, 23+ greenshanks, noticeable increase in robins and 8+ jay, 2 Cetti's warblers, 1 green woodpecker, 1 sparrowhawk, 7+ little egrets, 3 grey heron, 40+ wigeon and still good numbers of teal, 20+ meadow pipits.

a walk along the lane and viewing platform 09:00 till 10:15 produced 5+ chiffchaff's, constant movement of jays around rivers meet house, 2 great spotted woodpeckers, continued movement of skylarks and meadow pipits overhead, 2 water rail ( calling) and Cetti's warbler. 

a quick look back at the hide before the waders left showed ruff had increased to 5+ and also reported were 2 curlew sandpiper and a little stint which had dropped in briefly but had gone by time I had got back from viewing platform.
